Class went well today. I wasn’t exactly sure how we were going to go about acting out Gideon choosing his army. This morning as I was getting ready I decided to use a light blue blanket we had in our linen closet. I laid it out on the floor to resemble a river. The kids were told to pretend to drink from the “river” which ever way they wanted too. Well, I had just discussed the story with them and they knew that the ones who lapped the water up in their hands would be chosen. Everyone of them did it that way. I’m sure they’ll want to do it again Wednesday night.

I have moved my website to a new address. Please check it out: Bible Songs And MoreA Little About Me
I have a passion for teaching others about Christ. It is a privilege to share His story with others and especially children. I am a Christian, the wife of a gospel preacher and the mother of 6 children. The first Bible class I taught was when I was a teenager in Amarillo, TX. That was a long, long time ago. I have taught many children’s and ladies’ classes since then. I have had my share of successes and my share of failures. I have learned from watching others teach, from listening to others talk about teaching and from getting in the classroom and teaching myself. One of the things that has helped me the most is observing other teachers — the way they interact with the children and the activities they choose to cement the lesson of the day in those little minds. I know there are lots of Bible class teachers that are searching, just like I am, for good ways to improve their teaching and make the short time spent in Bible class as productive as possible.
Over the years I have accumulated material that has been helpful to myself and others. I would like to share it with you. The internet makes this so easy to do. No longer is there a need to compile a manuscript and hope a publisher somewhere will want to publish what I have to say. No longer is there a need to invest lots of money in publishing the material myself. Instead, I can start a blog/website that can be written/updated/corrected all from the computer in my kitchen. What an opportunity.
I hope that you will find here something that you can take to your classroom and use or even inspire you to do something similar or, even better, improve on, for use with your students. At Bible Songs and More you will find:
* Original children’s songs
* Folder activities
* Bulletin boards
* Project folders
* Lesson plans
* Teaching TipsFeel free to use any material on this website with your own children and with your Bible class. If you would like to use them on a larger scale, please ask. If you find any errors (and I’m sure there are plenty), feel free to email me and let me know about them.
I hope you enjoy your visit here,
